Where Are They Now? ‘Total’

Kissing you is all that I been thinking of…

That’s what many of us were singing, especially my aunt. Lawd knows she is still Total’s ultimate fan. During the 90’s, there were beacoup girl groups and in my opinion all had their own sound, style, and personality. And one group that we all loved was Total that consisted of three females Kima Raynor, Keisha Spivey, and Pamela Long.

Signed to Bad Boy, the group’s first single Can’t You See ft. Notorius BIG  appeared on the soundtrack to 1995 motion picture “New Jersey Drive”; it peaked at number 13 on theBillboard Hot 100 as well as number 2 on the R&B Charts. The group’s self-titled album was released nearly a year after the single. Total produced two more R&B top ten singles, No One Else (and its remix featuring Foxy Brown, Lil’ Kim and Da Brat) and Kissing You (and its remix featuring Diddy). The album was certified platinum by the RIAA.

Even with the success, the group couldn’t manage to stay together. Where are they now? All ladies have moved on…

Keshia Epps and her husband Omar

In 2006 Keisha Spivey married actor Omar Epps. The couple has three children, and the youngest of which was born in 2007. You can find her on Twitter @Love_KeshiaEpps.

Pamela Long

The leader in the group, Pam is now a  Christian and  released a single a couple of years back titled “By Myself.” You can find her on Twitter @PamelaLong1.

JaKima ‘Kima’ Raynor has been mute since the group’s breakup. However, she did collaborate with her sister Vita of Ja Rules’ Murder Inc. fam. She is now married and is said to  reside in New Jersey with her family and tweets under the Twitter handle @TotallyKima.

Good music…
